Karoo to Coast 2017

THE RACE DATE IS 24TH SEPTEMBER 2017

The Pennypinchers Lions Karoo to Coast Mountain Bike Challenge is a 100km off road race from UNIONDALE to KNYSNA via the Prince Alfred's Pass. The route is scenic, challenging and riders are encouraged to train sufficiently for this event in order to maximise the enjoyment of the experience.

• In order to maintain the quality of the event AND THE REGISTRATION, it has been decided by the Lions Clubs of Uniondale and Knysna that only 4500 entries will be made available in 2017. Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
   
• Riders WILL NOT be allowed to make ANY LATE SUBSTITUTIONS after the 25th July 2017.
   
• The entry fee is R495.00 and includes dinner in Uniondale on Saturday 23rd September. The event is owned by the Lions Clubs of Uniondale and Knysna and all proceeds from the event go to Sightfirst, the South African Guide Dog Association and other urgent needs in the community.

PPA EVENT AND DAY LICENCES - The CYCLING SOUTH AFRICA (CSA) forbidden race rule NO LONGER applies to the Lions Karoo to Coast as the event is now an official Pedal Power Association supported event. Riders do not require CSA licenses to participate in the event and the Racing License riders are ALLOWED to ride the event without any consequences as PPA is sanctioned by CSA.
