One lucky mountain biker will take home a whopping R35 000 Specialized voucher on Saturday, 03 June 2017 after completing the revered FNB Magalies Monster MTB Classic.
“Much like our product range, the FNB Magalies Monster caters for a wide range for mountain bikers, from the beginner to the advanced rider,” says Kevin Benkenstein, Marketing Manager of Specialized South Africa. “At the same time the race is also known to challenge both the skill of the rider and his/her equipment. Our products are designed to handle the most difficult terrain and conditions, and thus fit well with the race. This year Specialized opted to give away a voucher instead of a specific product package as we understand that the needs of riders differ.”
“We wanted the rider (male or female) to take home a prize that would be put to good use,” continues Benkenstein. “The voucher can be used for any product available from a Specialized retailer. The lucky draw will take place on Saturday after the race. The winner has to be present to redeem his/her prize. The Stillwater Sports team is renowned for hosting high quality, professionally run events. We appreciate this and are excited to be able to support the event organiser’s efforts to grow the sport.”
Riders can test ride Specialized’s Levo mountain bike at registration. An electronic mountain bike, the Levo combines all Specialized’s hallmark mountain bike designs with the most powerful pedal-assist technology.
Look out for the Specialized Chill Zone after the race. For the bikes, thanks to a partner store, riders can also get services and purchase Specialized product on site.

The FNB Magalies Monster MTB Classic is ideal for all mountain bikers. Entrants can choose between a 15km Fun Ride, the 35km ‘Half Monster’ and the 70km ‘Monster’.
